ReportMagic - Files
The Files area in ReportMagic is your cloud-based file system for storing report templates, input data (such as CSV files), images, forms and output reports. It functions as a virtual drive with folders and files that ReportMagic Schedules read from and write to. You can also mount a SharePoint drive as a connection and access its contents here also. See SharePoint Connections for more information.
To access the Files area:
In ReportMagic, in the left-hand menu, click Files.

- A folder tree for navigation
- The contents of the currently selected folder shown on the right
- Click a folder in the left pane to expand it and view its contents
- Double-click a folder in the right pane to open it
- Use the breadcrumbs at the top to navigate back to parent folders
- Click Library to view pre-built report templates folders - these are read-only as indicated by (ro)
- Use the right-click context menu to create upload, download, rename and delete folders and files.
- Tip: You can also slow double-click to rename a file or folder.
- As you would expect, Unicode characters are accepted in file and folder names except , \ .. ~ " * : < > ? / |
- Deleting a folder removes all its contents so you are warned and unable to delete a folder used by a Schedule.
- Different options are available on the right-click context menu depending on file type. For example, right-clicking on a DOCX file gives the following options:
