Report Studio helps you write and test macros to ensure they work correctly before you use them in a finalised report. If they don't work as expected, you will see immediate feedback and can tweak them and try again.

You can think of Report Studio as a kind of playground to create, test and debug macros to check they provide the expected output.

In Report Studio you can:

• Run macros and view their output
• Save templates to the file system for use later
• Use the Code Mode editor (an advanced text editor that software developers will be familiar with)
• Use the Rich Text editor (a what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor)
• Run macros in one of 2 modes: Normal Mode or Legacy Mode
