Viewing Boards
A Board shows the issues in one of your projects as cards, in a column for each stage of their progress. You can move an issue on by dragging its card to another column. Boards are set up for you by Panoramic Data. Only Tenant Admins can see them.
Opening a Board
In ProMagic, click Boards in the menu. Boards is in the menu only when you have a Board. The table lists your Boards by Name, with a Description of each and the Project each one is for. Click the funnel in a column heading to show only the values you choose. To open one, select it and click View, or double-click it. If you have only one Board, it opens straight away.
Using a Board
Each column shows its name and how many cards it holds, and the column names stay at the top of the page as you scroll down. Like Jira's board, the last column, such as Done, can leave out issues that were finished a while ago. Its count then says how many it shows out of all of them, for example 25 of 400.
A card shows the issue's key, priority, summary and who it is assigned to. If the issue belongs to an epic, a label under the summary names it, in the epic's colour on the Jira board. It also shows the fields the Jira board shows on its cards, such as the status and project, and icons for the issue's type and priority, and you can hover over any of them to see what it is. The key of a resolved issue is struck through, as it is on Jira's board. You can:
- Drag a card to another column to move the issue to that stage
- Click cards to select several, then drag them together
- Click an issue's key to open the issue on its own page
- Click the reload icon () at the top right to see the latest changes
Some moves cannot be made from a Board, for example one your project does not allow, or one that needs a comment. The card then goes back to its column, and a message says why. If a move needs a comment, make it on the issue's own page instead, under Change this issue.
Quick filters
If the Board's Jira board has quick filters, they are listed under QUICK FILTERS at the top of the Board, as they are in Jira. Click a filter to show only the cards it matches, and click another to show only the cards that match both. A chosen filter is highlighted. Click it again to turn it off, or click Clear to show every card. While filters are chosen, each column's count is the number of cards it shows.
A filter for your own issues, such as Only My Issues, is offered only if you have a Jira account with the email address you sign in with.
Swimlanes
If the Board's Jira board has swimlanes, the cards are grouped into the same lanes, in the same order. Each lane shows its name and how many issues it holds, for example 25 issues. Click a lane's name to hide or show its cards. Cards move between columns within their own lane, as on Jira's board.
The Board menu
The Board menu, at the top right beside the reload icon, lets you:
- Expand All Swimlanes or Collapse All Swimlanes, on a Board with swimlanes
- Hide Epic Labels to leave the epic labels off the cards, and Show Epic Labels to bring them back
Each Board has its own web address, which you can bookmark. To go back to the list of Boards, click Boards in the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.
