Notifications - Admin
Overview
Notifications generated by Magic Suite apps currently use email as the delivery format (but could include other methods such as SMS in the future). There are generally several ways that Notifications may be generated:
- A new Tenant is created - that "Tenant Admin" will receive an email and so will Panoramic Data Super Admins and Sales
- A user is added to an existing Tenant - the user and the Tenant Admin will receive an email
- ReportMagic macros (such as
[EmailReport:]
and[Email:]
macros) result in a report or a section or a report being emailed
Notifications may also be associated with a Connection (i.e. an SMTP Connection) and a Report Job (when generated by a ReportMagic macro), and they may also have attachments especially in the latter case.
Notifications in the Admin App
The Admin App provides a table which shows all the Notifications generated by your users. It is a read-only table and cannot be modified (i.e. you cannot delete Notifications).
The table also allows you to view an 'email-like' pop-up which shows the details (and allows you to download the attachments) in a more attractive format. Simply double-click a Notification in the table or use the View button above the table.
