Connecting to Dropbox Sign
A Dropbox Sign Connection lets your reports list the templates and signature requests in a Dropbox Sign account, formerly HelloSign, with the [DropBoxSign.Xxx:] macros. Reports only read from the account: nothing in it is changed.
Before you start
- Have a Dropbox Sign API key. It is on the API tab of your Dropbox Sign API Settings page, where you can also generate a new one
Creating the Connection
- In Admin, open Connections, then click Create
- Choose Dropbox Sign as the type
- Enter a name and, optionally, a description. We recommend Default as the name of the first Connection of each type
- Fill in the API Key with your Dropbox Sign API key. There is no URL or User Name
- Click Test Connection, then Save
Test Connection lists the account's templates, so it fails if Dropbox Sign refuses the API key.
Configuration
Dropbox Sign Connections have nothing to configure. If the form shows a Configuration, leave it empty.
Using it in reports
Choose the Connection with [DropBoxSign.Connection:], or with a Macro Parameter Default, then list the account's templates with [DropBoxSign.ListTemplates:] or its signature requests with [DropBoxSign.ListSignatureRequests:]. Both return Dropbox Sign's own field names, such as title and created_at, and take an optional query to search with, and take, the most items to return, which is 1000 if left out. Each signature request also has a status added by Magic Suite: awaiting_signature, complete, declined or error. For example:
[DropBoxSign.Connection: name=Default]
[DropBoxSign.ListSignatureRequests: properties=title;status;created_at, storeAsHidden=Requests, mode=Normal]
