Connecting to AutoTask
To set up Magic Suite apps to connect to your AutoTask system:
- From the Admin menu, click Connections.
- Click the Create button.
- From the Type drop-down, select a Connection type of AutoTask.
- Enter a name - we recommend that you use "Default" for the name of the first connection of each type, and optionally, a description.
- Enter anything in the URL, as this field is disregarded.
- In the User name field, enter the API user's username. This should be an AutoTask username created specifically for the integration.
- In the Password field, enter the API user's password.
- Note down the:
- API user's Integration Code - find this in AutoTask in the User (Resource) configuration page, on the right side of the Security tab
- ServerId (the number in your AutoTask URL)
- Use the above information in the configuration section in the form:
