Admin - Certifications
Overview
Tenant Admins can create and manage certifications that are specific to their own tenant. These certifications appear alongside Library certifications (shared certifications created by SuperAdmins) but can only be modified by the tenant that owns them.
Accessing Certifications
Navigate to Admin > Certifications from the Admin application menu.
Understanding Certification Scope
- Library Certifications (TenantId = null): Created and managed by SuperAdmins. Visible to all tenants but cannot be modified by Tenant Admins.
- Tenant Certifications (TenantId = your tenant): Created and managed by Tenant Admins. Only visible to your tenant.
Creating a Certification
- Click the Create button in the toolbar.
- Fill in the certification details:
- Name: A descriptive name for the certification.
- Description: Internal notes about the certification.
- Exam Length (mins): Time allowed to complete the exam.
- Pass %: Minimum percentage required to pass.
- Cool-down (days): Days before a user can retake the exam after a failed attempt.
- Valid From/To: Date range when the certification is available.
- Click Save to create the certification.
Managing Topics and Questions
After creating a certification, click Edit to add topics and questions. Each topic can contain multiple questions, and each question can have multiple answer options.
Import and Export
Certifications can be exported to JSON files and imported into other tenants or as new Library certifications:
- Export: Select a certification and click Export. Choose the export mode:
- Full: Includes GlobalIds for updating existing certifications.
- Transfer: For moving to a different environment.
- Clone: Creates a copy with new GlobalIds.
- Import: Click Import and select a JSON file. The certification will be imported with your tenant's scope.
Permissions
- Tenant Admins can create, edit, and delete their tenant's certifications.
- Tenant Admins can view (but not modify) Library certifications.
- Imported certifications are automatically assigned to the current tenant's scope.
